King Solomon greatly moved the hand of God through his sacrifices. That night, the Lord gave him a blank check "Ask! what shall I give you?" I Kings 3: 5. However, prior to the sacrifices on the altar, the bible testified about him saying "And Solomon LOVED the lord..." vs 3. Imagine sacrificing 'a thousand animals' on an altar! What else could have led to that? When the love for God is rooted in a man's heart, there is nothing he/she will not do just to please Him.

When true love exist between husband and wife, they will want to spend time together, please one another and even think constantly about each other when they are physically apart. It would be difficult for them to hurt each other and quick to settle grudges whenever there is a misunderstanding.

Jesus our perfect bridegroom sacrificed His life for us His bride, and called us 'friend' even while we were still sinners! John 15:13. Why wouldn't we love Him in return? God loved us dearly He gave His only begotten Son for our redemption. Rom 5:8. As the bride of Christ and God's children we love Him in return. We seek His will and live our lives to please Him.

Just like Solomon, you also can move the hand of God when you offer yourself fully to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. When you are committed to serving His purpose, always spending time with Him, obey and testify about Him, you will see His manifest presence. When we love Him wholeheartedly, we would see Him visit asking us what we want!
I pray that we all receive grace to please God all the days of our lives in Jesus name. #InspirationswithBiola

What is our inheritance as a son or daughter of God? It’s FREEDOM. It’s HEALING. It’s FORGIVENESS. It’s LOVE. It’s JOY. It’s PEACE. And as you get to lay claim to those promises, you also get to claim your inheritance as sons and daughters of God. The enemy knows that he cannot hold in bondage a believer who knows his or her authority in Christ. Start claiming those promises (inheritance) through declaring the Word from a place of Authority!

Ruth, in the Bible after all she had been through stood tall on the mountain of pain and suddenly saw the “plains.”(Ruth 1:1-16) She saw what she should do—stay with Naomi and place her faith in God (v.16). The journey up the peak had led to a mountaintop experience of knowing and embracing the God who loved her.

Like Ruth, you too may be facing problems or challenges that seem like a lifetime long. Keep staying the course with your eyes on Christ. Soon you’ll “behold the plains” ...the good God has planned for you. —Tom Felten

Once we accept Christ Jesus into our lives as Lord and saviour, we become new creatures. We are transferred from the kingdom of darkness to light(God's domain).

We now have these two assurances: God’s unfailing love— He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). And God’s promise of full redemption in due time—He will redeem us from all our iniquities (Ps. 130:8) and present us before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy (Jude 24).

We’re forgiven! We’re free! With the psalmist, let’s worship the Lord as we await His coming.
When we’re forgiven, no record is kept of our failures (Romans 8:1).

God is interested in your come back!
Satan offered to give Jesus the kingdoms of the earth in exchange for a worship! Matthew 4:8b. Could he really give? The greatest giver is Jesus himself who gave his life for us all while we were yet sinners!

Many have accepted to submit and bow to satan in exchange for 'the kingdoms of the world and its glory'. If not careful, it is easy to be carried away by what appears to be so good to the sight and imagined a life of luxury but comes in exchange for something precious; your heart, your soul. Be aware that the enemy has nothing good to offer John 10:10.

Money is good but the love of it? Comfort is desirable but at the expense of your quiet time? Position is sought for but would it honour God? Fame is now in your hands but would you acknowledge God for it?

God wants your heart back. He wants to be the centre of your life again. He is patiently waiting, welcome Him back today and enjoy the presence of the greatest giver. #MyInspirationToday

Many people today feel that being a servant somehow belittles them. The thought makes them feel smaller or less significant than they would like to feel. So they say, “I’m not going to serve. I’m a successful person. Why should I be serving?” Or "I don't belong to that level anymore".

But when we get to heaven and meet Jesus, He is not going to say, “Well done, my good and faithful apostle.” Neither will he say, “Well done, my good and successful pastor... teacher... or CEO.” No! He’ll say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matt. 25:23).

Our highest aspiration in this life should be to follow the example of Jesus, and live our lives as a servant of all. We should desire nothing greater than to be someone who serves God, serves His purpose, and serves His people.

Instead of having an aversion to the word "servant," learn to embrace your servanthood for God's kingdom. For God esteems those with a humble and contrite heart (Is. 66:2), and promises the inheritance of the earth to the meek (Matt. 5:5)!

In 1 Corinthians 1:26, the apostle Paul talks about three different kinds of people: First of all, there are the wise… those who are the highly educated. Secondly, the mighty are those who are naturally talented. And the third category are the noble... those who come from a privileged background. There is nothing at all wrong with any of these three social statuses. But one downfall that is common among the three is that these statuses often cause a higher dependence on “self” and, as a result, an independence from God. And when we lose sight of our need for God in our lives, we shut the door from receiving His grace and favor.

The amount of God’s favor we experience in our lives is not determined by our family background, our level of academic excellence or our talents and abilities. The Bible tells us that He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). In fact, we’re told in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.”

So, if you desire to live a life filled with God’s presence and power, don’t ever lose sight of your reliance on Him. Instead, surrender fully to His perfect will and place all your trust in Him, knowing that He gives favor to His children and will work everything out for your good. #MyInspirationToday

In addressing the new converts, (John 8:31) Jesus was quick to inform them that the only way to grow as a child of God was to continue in His word. I mean how can you operate a machine or use a new product effectively without reading the manual? God's word gives us the illumination we need for the journey. His word is complete; with all we need to live a kingdom lifestyle. It's in His word we gain complete freedom.

As believers seeking growth, we can't continue to follow other people's lifestyle no matter how perfect they may seem. We must look upto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Imitating man means we be like them and perhaps they fail then what? The one who called us is perfect and calls us to be like Him (Ephesians 5:1, 1 Peter 1:16). He never fails and his lifestyle here on earth is worth emulating.

If we say we are Christ's followers and want to remain so; rooted and built up in Him, we must study, meditate and live the word (1John 2:6, John 15:5). #MyInspirationToday

Throughout Jesus's stay on earth, he was constantly challenged by a group of people who believed they were always in the right and he was in the wrong. They questioned all he ever did, said, his doctrines and even refused to accept when it was evident that Jesus was Godsent. They saw the miracles he did and yet questioned the power behind it. They even questioned his good works because it was done on a sabbath day. Some hardened their heart so much so that they ended up missing the messiah. Jesus said He didn't come for such people but to those who were in need and acknowledged they need help. Mark 2:17.

The key here is 'accepting that you need help and then ask for it'. The inability to do this is termed as 'pride'.

God hates pride. Proverbs 8:13; 16:5. He says, You can't expect to recieve from God if your heart is not right and you don't first acknowledge Him. You know you are struggling and need help yet you refuse to ask for it. God hates it and will not be able to do anything until you succumb. The good news is that, if you bury your pride today and seek help in any area you feel you may be lacking, God is willing to help. Ask and you shall recieve matthew 7:7. #MyInspirationToday

Matthew 14:29-30; so He said, "come". And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid...

It's only when you leave your boat of safety and take a step of faith in obedience to the Lord's command that the wind becomes obvious; wild and stormy. This is a test of your faith in the One who called you.

In the case of Peter, when he saw, he became afraid and then began to sink. But is it possible not to have seen the wind? You ask. Could he possibly have ignored that he was on water? But I ask, "what had been his gaze before 'he saw'?" The moment we shift our gaze from the One who sent us, we pay greater attention to the storm, leading to fear and then sinking takes over. Remaining focus on God strengthens our faith and keeps us strong in Him all the way even through the storm.

Have you removed your gaze from Him? Repent today and refocus, seek Him with all your heart - Jeremiah 29:13, 2Chronicles 7:14 - and He'll see you through the storm. #MyInspirationToday

Did I hear you say, you are kind to the poor, live a modest and good life, you go to church, even work in a church department and stay pretty much away from sin? Having done all that, if you have not known and accepted Christ Jesus into your life, it is all in vain!

The standards of God exceed our hardest try by far and no matter how much we try, we cannot please Him. The bible says our righteousness is like a filthy garment before God. We could never please God by ourselves, therefore those who focus on doctrinal standards instead of the salvation through Christ are misleading their followers.

Likewise, those who condemn others by their physical appearance; how you dress or look rather than leading them to Christ are doing so because they have chosen 'works' rather than 'Grace'. Ephesians 2:8 says "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;" The moment we accept Christ through faith, we continue to live by that faith. The bible says the just will live by faith and not by sight. We believe the finished work of the Christ on the cross and now live by His Spirit and leading.

Romans 8:1 says there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. In other words once we believe, God's Spirit dwells in us and takes over the leading of our lives. We are no longer judged by the consequences of sin because we are no longer under that domain however, we have a new master, Christ. If you find anyone focusing on doctrine more than leading you to Christ, my advise? RUN?

When God moves us from our comfort zone, we dont immediately get to the next level but must first go through a learning period and pass a test. This period is known as 'valley days'. But how do we survive times like these?

Sometimes we simply need to remember and return to who we know God is. Habakkuk’s third chapter starts like a worship song that acknowledges how hard life is and yet remembers all God has done. It’s another step, a really big one, in the journey out of the valley.

Habakkuk prays, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy” (Habakkuk 3:2 NIV).

Valley days will come but we must remember that God is still God. He gave Abraham a son in his old age, delivered the israelites from enslavement, rescued Daniel from the lions den, sent His Son to save us, He is still doing good and yours wouldn't be an exception. #MyInspirationToday

Every time God wants me to move to my next phase of life, He first pushes me out of my comfort zone. I have experienced some shakings that led me on a journey to freedom and fulfillment. If you remain too comfortable at a spot, you may not start that journey of discomfort wherein lies your fulfillment.

The Israelite's statement, "who made you a ruler and a judge over us?" (Exodus 2:14&15), shook Moses, but in reality it was the push he needed to embark on the journey of destiny. Moses was so comfortable in the land he could do as he pleased. Little did he know that he must leave the land of his birth (comfort zone) for a foreign land where he would meet with his Maker, take up his assignment and begin to fulfill purpose. The Israelite was a destiny helper!

Are you currently at the point where you've just been shaken; you lost your job, experienced a broken relationship, been asked to leave a house you've rented for years? Perhaps it's time to embark on that journey to freedom and fulfillment. Though as challenging as it may look, stay on course, trust God always and He will see you through. It will end in Praise!

The woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) went through a great ordeal in the hands of various physicians; the diagnosis and prescriptions. She was used as an experiment. Perhaps they'd given up on her and predicted a set time for her to live yet she had spent all she had on this issue and instead of her condition to improve it got worse. Not to talk of her segregation from society based on the law of purity whereby a woman remains unclean for 7 days after her monthly cycle. For this woman, she had been in this condition constantly for 12years so she remained unclean and unable to associate with people.

In addition to all these, the bible doesn't tell her name so she's referred to by her problem. Hmmm! Is this not too much for one person, you ask? When the devil throws an affliction, it is always to the extreme. In fact, if not that God restrained him, he would have ended the life of Job (2:6) after all he made him go through. He never works in anyone's favour instead he is there to steal, kill and destroy - John 10:10.

No matter the affliction in your life or in the life of anyone close to you, healing can be received today as long as you believe in Jesus's healing power. The woman with the issue of blood believed in Him and that He came with healing in His wings, so she touched the hem of His garment and only then did Jesus Christ confirm her freedom from affliction vs 35. You also can receive your healing, if only you'll believe and reach out to Him today! #MyInspirationToday

Habakkuk gives us three little words that we can cling to when it appears that God has not delivered on what he promised. No matter what you might be going through, never let go of these words.

You’ll find these words in Habakkuk 2:20, where the prophet, after acknowledging that he still doesn’t like what’s going on, says, “But the Lord is in his holy Temple. Let all the earth be silent before him” (NLT).

The world may seem upside down, but the Lord is still there. When you have nowhere else to turn, when your own ideas and resources have evaporated, when your control over a situation is in shambles, God is still there. When your knees ache from kneeling in prayer but you can’t tell if he’s even listening, God is still there.

No matter what happens in your life, the Lord is in his holy temple.

...she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6.
We can see here that Eve was deceived by the devil and not Adam 1 Timothy 2:14. This means Adam ate the fruit as a result of his wife's persuasion or perhaps 'nag'. The power and influence of a nagging wife can push her husband into doing things against his wish. As we know there are consequences for every action and in this instance the woman's influence was against Gods command.

As wives, we have the power of influence (expressed a lot of times through emotions) but the authority in the home is given to our husbands. A man can allow his wife have her way for peace sake, this does not mean he lacks strength as infact it's wisdom in action however, if this is done at the expense of Gods command then the consequences can be severe as we see here and also in the story of Moses and his wife(more on this tomorrow).

As women, we must use our influence in the home wisely. If as a woman you are short tempered, you might want to wait a while before uttering words as what you say when angry is never the best. Walk away from the scene and return to the subject 'only' when calm. We see clearly when we leave issues for a while. Mind you, some matters are better left to rest completely, it's not all issues we must get to the bottom of.

Also, we must put God first and the feelings of others before ours. Is this decision God centred? What would He have me do at this time? Would my family be at peace if I impose this? What would be the impact on my husband? Putting God and others first in our decisions would ensure we are guided by wisdom and help preserve our homes as we know the bible says a wise woman builds her home but the foolish one pulls it down with her hands - proverbs 14:1. May our decisions and words be guided by wisdom at all times in Jesus name. #MyInspirationToday

What is the ascended life? Think for a moment of Jesus. He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the throne of God in glory. According to Ephesians 2:6, those of us who are in Christ are seated with him. There we reign in life with him.

In Proverbs 15, we are presented with some of the traits of the person who lives an ascended life. They choose to be cheerful, not depressed. They are thankful and content, as long as they have God and love, regardless of their wealth. They are calm and patient, not hot-tempered. They make good, rather than ill-considered decisions. They seek out multiple counsellors, rather than acting unilaterally. Their advice is heavenly, rather than worldly. They head constantly heavenward, rather than being tugged downward towards hell.

Let your heart rest in the truth that you are ascended with Christ. Let that become the place your heart considers home. As you do, living an ascended life will become natural.
Have you considered what it means that you are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places? Let God open the eyes of your understanding to envision what surrounds you. What does it mean to live a heavenly life while still dwelling on earth?

Despite God's providence over the children of Israel in the wilderness, they kept looking back and sought for every opportunity to grumble. It is a dangerous thing to live in the past, longing for what was and making light of what is. Many good relationships come to an end when one or the other cannot let go of the past.

Perhaps you're facing some challenges in your current place of work and you keep comparing it to your previous job even though you have better prospects in this one. Perhaps you find yourself complaining about the provisions you have now even though the situation is a far safer one for you. I want to encourage you that God can help you turn a new leaf but you must first be willing. Keep your eyes on the Lord as He leads you through the process of detoxing your soul of the past. The bible tells us that the past was so deeply rooted in the Israelites that they lusted for the supplies of Egypt. (Numbers 11:4 - 6) #MyInspirationToday
